“This new understanding of Christian witnessing took a lot of pressure off me – I did’t need to be the one to lead someone to a profession of faith in Christ. My role was to discover where that person was in relationship with God and lead him or her at least one step further toward Him.
- If they were not seeking Him, I needed to make them hungry for Him.
- If they were searching for Him, I needed to lead them further in that search.
- If they were well on their way, I might have the privilege of leading them to surrender their life to Jesus.
Getting to know people was the best starting point, and I loved seeing how God moved in each life.”
